Bush Photos

I'm a member of a photography page on Facebook and each month the guy that runs the page gives us a different topic to go out and photograph. This month was flowers. Now my garden is a low maintenance type of garden, that means its full of palm trees and things that dont generally produce beautiful colouful flowers. So I decided to take my camera and head off for a bush walk to the point near my house and see what native flora I could find.
Firstly I headed out through what we call the mud flat and after all the rain we have just had it was exactly that! Muddy! However, that didn't stop this mob of kangaroos from grazing quietly (until I disturbed them!)

To my utter delight a moment after this shot was taken a joey popped its head out of the pouch and looked right at me! Best shot of a roo I've ever taken!

After they hopped off to safer ground (because my camera & I are a huge threat! lol) I continued on my way through the bush. As I mentioned before we have had an amazing amount of rain so I think that this has had an effect on the flora around here. There wasn't a lot flowering and what was flowering was pretty small. I did get some photos and some aren't too bad. I don't see my self taking up flora photography as a living though. I found it somewhat uneventful.

So whilst they may not be your (or my) cuppa tea, some of them aren't too bad. I think, personally I prefer to photograph something that moves, animals, sunsets and people. The later I've had not much experience with just yet but I'm sure that will come.
