Weekend winners

My husband came home from a 5 week swing at work on Sunday and he bought home a new lens for me. Its a 70-300mm lens and has a macro setting on it. As you can imagine I couldn't wait to try it out. The only flowers I had to play with were the clover growing in the lawn, so I found a busy little bee and followed him for a little.

After the bee, I went to test out what else this new lens could do. We get a lot of ducks around our place and often its hard to stop them from eating the seed for the parrots. Yesterday was a beautiful warm day so the ducks were just relaxing.

Since it was such a beautiful day we decided to head over to Husky for lunch and then a walk along the beach. Most of the photos I took were not that good but there was two that I quiet liked. The aim of the day was to get some shots of the water coming in over the rocks but it didn't work so I ended up trying to get some nice shots of the sand & seaweed. These two below are the best of a bad bunch.
