I recently had the pleasure of being asked to photograph a friends wedding. Whilst she had engaged a professional photographer for the ceremony, she was after some photos of herself and her bridesmaids getting ready on the day. I was honoured to have been asked and happy to oblige.
I headed to the house they were getting ready at around 9am along with my trusty assistant, my daughter. I also had my curling iron, bobby pins and make up bag in tow as I knew I wouldn't have much time to get myself ready for the wedding if I didn't.
It was such a great morning and bought back wonderful memories of my own wedding day, 5 years ago. The girls all had matching pink dressing gowns, with the bride in a matching white one.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a lot of good lighting so the perfect wedding dress photo eluded me and I was only able to get one shot that I liked and only when I turned it black and white.

Once the girls were ready, they helped the beautiful bride get ready and then after I raced home to change and get myself finished we headed down to the waters of St Georges Basin for some photos of the bride and her bridesmaids.

Then it was off to marry the man of her dreams! The cars were supplied by the brides bother in law and my husband. Two awesome 4WD 's, a black Ford Ranger and a blue Toyota Hilux.

Unbelievably we were running a tad early, so it was the perfect opportunity to stop for a couple more photos by the Shoalhaven River in Nowra.

At last it was time to head to the ceremony which was being held at Nowra Golf Club in a beautiful area on the golf course. The groom was ready and waiting patiently with his groomsmen, who all looked wonderful.

It was a beautiful ceremony and the bride and groom were completely besotted with one another! The groomsmen and bridesmaids were all seen to be enjoying themselves and the gathered guests were witness to a wonderful ceremony along with some laughs. After the ceremony the bridal party headed off for photos with the professional photographer, whilst the rest of us headed to the club house for some pre reception refreshments.
The reception room was stunning, as was the cake. The food was wonderful and the company even better. We laughed and danced the night away and after saying goodbye to the newlyweds it was time for all of the guests to head out to our bus back to the basin.
